Police conduct 654 searches and check 28 vehicles in Male' city gang crackdown

The Gang Crime Suppression Department of the Maldives Police Service has conducted a series of targeted operations in Male' City and Hulhumale', checking 28 vehicles over the past 48 hours, police said Tuesday.
According to the update, police carried out 654 searches in areas identified as gang activity hotspots. One vehicle was towed during the operation.
In addition, officers conducted 127 interactions and logged over nine hours of foot patrols across various neighborhoods in Male' and Hulhumale'.
The police said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to ensure road safety and public security, with details of enforcement activities being shared periodically.
