A man who disembarked at Gaafu Dhaalu Nadella from a boat that arrived at the island has been reported missing.
The missing person has been identified as Adam Ibrahim, 34, of HDh. Nolhivaram.
According to the police, Adam arrived at the island via a boat named ‘Ithubaaru’ around 2:00 pm on Sunday. After disembarking, he did not come back to the boat, and he was reported as missing at 10:25 pm. A police team was immediately dispatched to Nadella, and search efforts are ongoing on the island and nearby uninhabited islands.
The police has appealed to the public to share any information on Adam without delay.
