Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has stated that the country has abundant talent in the IT sector and will seek to find markets for such talent.
He made the statement speaking in the session held with local businesses in the meeting in IGMH Orchid Hall.
In his address, Minister Saeed said perseverance and courage was required to exploit the opportunities available. He promised that the Government will provide all required assistance to such youth. He said the IT sector was the fatest growing sector in many countries including neighboring nations. He added that local youth were also talented in this sector.
Minister Saeed added that the Government wished to include such products in the regional economic forums. He announced that the five most promising projects will be chosen from an exhibit, which then will be featured in the said forums.
Saeed added that local handicrafts were not sole export for the nation and that one should not view it as such. He said success in global markets depended on innovation and bringing out new products.
