Home Minister Azleen have said that no matter how much some people want to do it, a coup will not be successful in the Maldives. He also said that it will not be possible even to destabilize the country.
Speaking to the press at the President’s office Azleen said that he does not believe that anyone can bring a coup, even though some people are talking of doing so.
He said that the constitution of the Maldives does not allow coups or instability and hence, that will not happen. “I want to tell the people of Maldives that, Male’ cannot be destabilized and we will uphold the law. The coming days are going to be prosperous for the people” said Azleen.
“Coups are usually planned very secretly. It is not done openly. I request the opposition not to spread stories like this to create fear and chaos among the public” said Azleen. He further asked the opposition to resort from fear mongering. He said that a group who claims to love the people will not take such measures.
