Mohamed Majudhee, the man who helped pen the 2008 Maldives' Constitution, passed away on Tuesday.
He passed away at the age of 56, while receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for difficulties breathing.
According to Jumhooree Party, Majudhee had been a council member for the party, had taken part in party activities even on the of his passing.
Described as having a jovial demeanour, he was known for delivering eloquent speeches in prose, during his time as a parliament member. Majudhee was a member of the Parliament's special council.
He previously held the post of Headmaster in his hometown school of Maalhos, Alifu Alifu Atoll.
