The largest corporate and networking fair; Hotel Asia Exhibition will be going on official floor on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.
The General Manager of Maldives Exhibition and Conference Services (MECS) Hussain Rauf was quoted by local media during a press brief at Dharubaaruge, the event venue, stating this year’s exhibition is proceeding with full capacity at the venue.
The Hotel Asia Exhibition was started back in 2000 and this year marks the event’s 14th edition. Simultaneous to the exhibition the much lauded and well received International Culinary Challenge with a plethora of local and foreign chefs portraying their culinary skills has already commenced on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
The 2018 Hotel Asia Exhibition is participated by a total of 250 international corporations from 46 countries. The event’s main sponsor continues to be Best-Buy Maldives (BBM) which specializes in the local sale of kitchen utensils and equipment among several other branded products.
The main sponsor’s Head of Marketing Ali Afrah Hassan claimed the company will be displaying 72 distinct products in this year’s fair.
The simultaneous other event; the International Culinary Challenge will be participated by 620 chefs from around the globe while last year’s challenge saw 550 chefs competing for the win. The culinary challenge is also participated by 70 local resorts.
The exhibition will commence at 10:00hrs and last until 19:00hrs from October 10 until October 12.
