FM Shahid heads to Romania on official visit

Maldives Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid has on Thursday departed on an official visit to Romania.
His visit comes upon the invitation of the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teodor Meleșcanu.
Taking via twitter, FM Shahid said that he and the Romanian Minister will be exploring "ways to strengthen ties between the two countries in fields such as trade, tourism, educational and other social sectors."
While both ministers are set to hold bilateral talks during the visit, RaajjeMV understands that FM Shahid will be paying a courtesy call on Vice Prime Minister Ana Birchall as well.
Travelling to Romania on the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs @teodormelescanu. Will explore to strengthening ties between the two countries in the fields of trade, tourism educational and other social sectors.
In addition, FM Shahid will also be meeting with senior officials of the Romanian government in Bucharest where he will explore possibilities to further strengthen the close bilateral ties between Maldives and Romania.
FM Shahid is accompanied by Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Fathmath Razana, Assistant Director at the Ministry.
