Maldives Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon, has sent a message of condolence to Mr. Sameh Hassan Shokry Selim, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Arab Republic of Egypt, following the tragic news of the disappearance of the EgyptAir Flight 804, which was travelling from Paris to Cairo, with 56 passengers and 10 crew members.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
It was with great shock and sorrow that I learned the tragic news of the disappearance of the EgyptAir Flight 804 which was travelling from Paris to Cairo with 56 passengers and 10 crew members.
On behalf of the Government, people of the Maldives and on my own behalf, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Government and people of Egypt. Please also convey our heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
At this time of national distress, our thoughts and prayers are with the Government and the people of Egypt. ENDS
