Former State Minister at the Islamic Ministry, Sheikh Mohamed Didi said that the people were disappointed when the Police obstructed them from going for prayers during the Friday’s Mayday protest held against the government.
He said that the organizers first decided for the protestors to pray on the streets however they decided to goto the mosque for prayers when the Police demanded to stop all activities between Maqhrib prayer and Isha prayer.
Sheikh Mohamed Didi added that they decided to goto the Islamic Center for the Maqhrib prayers because the mosque is bigger and can accommodate a big congregation.
He said that they did not for once think that the Police will obstruct them from going for the prayers.
Sheikh Mohamed Didi said that the government increased in their tyranny arresting many people and three leaders even after when a large number of people gathered against them.
He said that the activities against government oppression and tyranny will continue until the government ends all forms of oppression.
