Former President Yameen’s trip to Haa Alif, which was scheduled to begin on October 12th has been postponed.
PPM states that the reasoning behind the trip being postponed is bad weather, and depending on the weather, he will begin the trip next Saturday. This trip was supposed to be taken from October 12th to 15th.
Yameen will travel to five islands from the Haa Alif atoll during this trip, according to PPM.
Interacting with individuals and party members, learning about the concerns of the populace, and gathering information for the presidential election platform are the main goals of the trips. He will be traveling for the second time since he has been chosen to run for president in the upcoming election.
Former President Yameen had undertaken various development projects in Haa Alif atoll under his administration. Most of these projects were completed while he was still in office.
