New MD appointed to fisheries promotion corporation

Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim has been appointed as the new managing director of the Maldives Fisheries and Ocean Resources Marketing and Promotion Corporation (MFORMPC).
A native of ADh. Maamigili, Mohamed Ibrahim previously served as the secretary-general of Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom).
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) confirmed he was appointed as a board member and managing director of MFORMPC on Sunday.
Mohamed Ibrahim replaces Ahmed Zareer, who left the MFORMPC in August to join the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) as its secretary general.
MFORMPC was established as a 100 percent state-owned company back in February for the purpose of promoting and marketing Maldives’ fisheries industry.
