Hulhumalé Hospital, Fahi Dhiriulhun Corp. to Establish Primary Care Clinic in Phase II

Hulhumalé Hospital and the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation have signed an agreement to establish an Urban Primary Health Care clinic in the Amaan Udhares residential complex in Hulhumalé Phase II.
The facility, to be located in Tower 6, will provide paediatric vaccinations, weight monitoring, and patient counselling, according to Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem, Chief Executive Officer of the Malé City Group of Hospitals. He said the initiative is designed to decentralise primary care, enabling residents to avoid major hospitals for routine consultations while securing faster access to specialists through the clinic’s referral system.
The project reflects a directive from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, who has called for six general practice clinics to be opened across the Greater Malé region. The policy is intended to reinforce the public health infrastructure and expand access to essential services for communities that often rely on centralised hospitals.
Officials said the Hulhumalé Phase II clinic will be completed and inaugurated in tandem with a new facility planned for the Henveyru district.
