The national airline, Maldivian, has launched its first-ever direct Umrah flights to Jeddah, in partnership with the Maldives Hajj Corporation and The Traveller Umrah group.
According to the airline, over 750 pilgrims are to set to embark on the journey with Maldivian this July. The airline said the decision to launch direct flights follows numerous requests from Umrah organisers to facilitate travel arrangements for pilgrims.
Maldivian further said as the national airline of Maldives, the airline is committed to making this sacred journey smoother, more accessible, and comfortable for those travelling.
The direct flights to Jeddah are scheduled for 22 and 27 July, and will be operated using the airline’s Airbus wide-body aircraft.
Maldivian arranged similar flights earlier this year to transport Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
