Minister of Home Affairs Umar Naseer and the High commissioner of Australia to the Maldives David Hachinson have held discussions on press freedom in Maldives.
In addition to this both had discussed regarding implementing death penalty in Maldives، as well as radicalism and crime in the country.
During the meeting، Minuster Umar highlighted that the criminal rate have decreased and responsible bodies have taken the necessary steps to stop radicalism in Maldives.
Moreover Minister shared information about death penalty in Islam and shared other various information that high commissioner needs.
