Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has filed a case to Civil Court against Artline Design Service Private Limited claiming MVR 134,290, after the company failed to pay tax to the government.
MIRA sad that the MVR 134,290 includes failed GST payments and fines for failure to submit GST statements on time.
MIRA published on its website yesterday that its case against Artline had been accepted by the Civil Court.
MIRA has filed 80 cases claiming a total of MVR 38.5 million owed as tax by companies and private individuals.
This includes 20 cases in 2013, 35 cases in 2012, and 25 cases in 2011.
