President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced that the HDh. Finey harbour project will be completed with revisions and input from the island’s residents.
Addressing the community during his ongoing tour of South Thiladhunmathi Atoll, he noted that the residents have proposed numerous revisions to the harbour project.
The President emphasised that the harbour project was a pivotal development for Finey and assured residents that their suggestions would be incorporated into the revised design, with key adjustments included in the 2026 budget.
Outlining further development initiatives for the island, the President pledged to implement projects in the fields of youth and sports. He also noted that the proposed school relocation project will be budgeted and carried out next year.
President Dr Muizzu further pledge to establish a police station, develop a waste management centre and a children’s park, and carry out projects in the energy sector.
Concluding his address, the President reaffirmed that the Administration would continue to prioritise projects that directly improve the quality of life for the people of Finey.
