BML expands service with new branch in N. Velidhoo

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has further expanded their corporate foothold and services with a new branch at Noonu atoll Velidhoo.
According to BML, with the inception of the new branch in Velidhoo the atoll will now boast of three of the bank’s branches, three Self-Service Banking ATMs.
In addition to this, registered and permitted cash agents are ‘installed’ in each of the atoll’s inhabited islands.
In a press statement the national bank of Maldives noted that they aim to “support the community of Velidhoo with the existing Self Service Banking Center at the branch” to support local individuals and businesses in making deposits, payments and transfers on a 24/7 basis.
“It is a delight for us to support the people and businesses of Velidhoo with the opening of this new branch,” the bank’s CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer noted.
“This is an integral part of our ongoing investment program to support local communities by providing banking services throughout the country,” he added.
With this new expansion, the nationwide network of BML currently boasts 38 branches across all 20 atolls.
In addition to this, the bank has 50 Self-Service Banking Centers, 115 ATMs, 277 agents and a full suite of Digital Banking services.
BML is without an argument largest public bank with highest number of civilian customers in the country.
