The Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has advised households not to keep garbage bags on the streets, especially during the current bad weather conditions.
In some cases, when WAMCO is unable to collect waste from households, residents place their garbage on the curb for pickup. However, due to ongoing rainy weather, WAMCO has urged the public to avoid doing so. WAMCO has urged the public to report any uncollected waste or service disruptions by calling their hotline on 1666.
WAMCO has adjusted the garbage collection hours during Ramadan as follows:
Male’: 8:30 pm to 2:30 am
Hulhumale’: 9:00 pm to 1:00 am
Villimale’: 9:30 pm to 1.30 am
