Zakat payments via the Avas App to be established

Avas Enterprises Private Limited and Maldives Zakat House have signed an agreement to make Fitr Zakat payments easier and more accessible to the public.
At a ceremony held at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Zakat House’s Fund Manager Abdullah Ali, and Avas Enterprises Managing Director Mohamed Yaaniu Rameez.
Maldives Zakat House has stated that this will allow for Zakat collection digitally throughout the Maldives. Zakat payment services will be officially inaugurated via Avas Enterprises’ online platforms by Ramadan this year.
Under this agreement, Zakat payments can be made free of additional charges, and the payments collected will be transferred to Zakat house without any additional fees.
This service will be provided through trustworthy digital platforms, as part of a Shariah-compliant, transparent and fast-paced system.
Zakat House is working to modernise Zakat payments, allow immediate transfers and create an easy and inclusive system to provide Zakat to its intended recipients more efficiently.
