Minister of Home Affairs Mr. Umar Naseer has visited the Kaafu atoll Maafushi Prison on Tuesday morning، to check the progress of the construction work of the Drug Offenders Remand Centre at the prison.
Home Minister was accompanied by Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan، Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal and officials of National Drug Agency (NDA).
The operation of Drug Offenders Remand Centre is a milestone of Maldives Correctional Service، Home Minister said last year.
