BML opens new self-service banking ATM at L. Maamendhoo

Bank of Maldives (BML) has expanded its banking territory with a new service introduction in Laamu atoll Maamendhoo.
Under the bank’s financial inclusion strategy, BML is scaling up its presence in Laamu atoll by introducing a new self-service banking ATM at Maamendhoo.
The locals, both individuals and businesses will be able to deposit and transfer money on a 24/7 basis, apart from regular cash withdrawal services.
Currently, the atoll has one BML branch, a self-service banking setup at Fonadhoo and Gan, as well as a self-service banking ATM at Maavah.
Addressing this expansion effort, the bank’s CEO and Managing Director Mr. Tim Sawyer said “as part of our financial inclusion strategy, we will continue to invest in expanding banking services to islands across Maldives.”
Moreover, he remains hopeful for the prospective utilization of the new ATM facility by the island’s locals without needing to visit other nearby branches for services.
