Maldives Ambassador to Japan, Ahmed Mahloof has held discussions with Director of JATS Co. Ltd., Mr. Oshima and the Managing Director of Global Trade Resources for the commercial sale of Authentic Maldives products in Japan.
The meeting was held at Maldives’ Embassy in Japan.
On a post on social media, Ambassador Mahloof stated that on the request of Business Center Coporation (BCC), discussions were held on the possibility of increasing the number of Authentic Maldives products to be sold through One Village One Product shops in Japan.
The move aims to expand the product visibility for Maldives’ products in the International market and open up new opportunities for Maldivian entrepreneurs.
Authentic Maldives is an initiative by BCC to promote the sale of local products. BCC was established in 2019 under the Ministry of Economic Development to promote and assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through the business centres established across the country.
