Pesident Yameen Abdulla Abdul Gayoom has formally inaugurated the sea sports festival، an event to celebrate 50 years of independence of the Maldives.
Several Ministers، MP’s and public has participated in the ceremony held to inaugurate the festival
Speaking at the ceremony، Home Minister stated that the main reason for the sustain of independence is the sea. He further stated that this is the first time to hod such a festival in Maldives and stated that he hopes to hold the festival annually from now on.
In the morning of Friday، several sea sports were played and Home Minister Umar had visited the site.
