Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s Chairperson Ali Waheed and Adhaalath Party (AP)’s leader Sheikh Imran Abdulla’s appeal verdict issuing have been scheduled for tomorrow.
The first verdict to issue tomorrow is Imran’s verdict. Imran’s verdict is to be issued on 2:30 p.m and Ali Waheed on 2:40 p.m. tomorrow.
Husnuh Suood، Ali Waheed’s lawyers informed press that the remand was extended claiming that comments were delivered in a way that would provoke civil unrest، and therefore he has questioned for the exact comments made that would create civil unrest.
He has stressed that when remanding، the judge had not indicated that the remand is made due to the dialogues made that would create unrest.
