An office of former President Nasheed inaugurated in Addu City

An office for former President Mohamed Nasheed has been inaugurated in Addu City’s Hithadhoo district on Wednesday morning.
The office was inaugurated by the former President during his visit to the city which began on Tuesday.
After inaugurating the office, located in mid-Hithadhoo district, the former President had met and talked to some residents of the district.
Nasheed stated that this office will focus mostly on environmental works and on sustainable energy and environmentally friendly ways for fishing as well as developing the island’s harbor and coast protection.
Nasheed said that work will be carried out in cooperation with foreign universities and school in Addu City.
The inauguration was joined by senior members of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) as well as some former Ministers and Members of Parliament who accompanied Nasheed on this trip.
