Coastguard has rescued the people at sea after a launch sank. MNDF said that the launch, Moonlight, traveling from Lhaviyani atoll Maabinhuraa to Kureddhoo Island Resort sank around 12:30 p.m. today. When the Coastguard arrived at the scene, all six people on board were the vessel were in the sea according to the MNDF. They were taken to Kureddhoo Island Resort following the rescue. No one was injured in the incident. MET Office said that torrential rain is expected across the country from 10 a.m. today to 10 a.m. tomorrow. Thunderstorms are expected in some islands.
