Former far-right politician Arnoud van Doorn who converted to Islam after making a disrespectful movie insulting the name of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)، is expected to visit Maldives، said Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
In a tweet he posted on Saturday، Minister Shaheem informed that Arnoud is expected to visit Maldives. Minister Shaheem further said in the tweet that he has spoken with Arnoud earlier on Saturday. Arnoud is expected to deliver a speech regarding how he converted to Islam، after creating an anti-Islam film.

In response، Arnoud posted a tweet، thanking Minister Shaheem for the invitation and said that visiting Maldives is a great honor.

Arnoud van Doorn was a former far-right politician of Dutch Freedom Party.  He made a film with anti-Islam content and insulting Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) in 2012. Following the overwhelming reaction from the Muslims around the world، Arnoud was interested to learn more about Islam، which lead to him converting to Islam in 2013.
He has then performed Hajj and visited the Prophet’s Mosque to deliver an apology and show remorse before the scholars there for his involvement in an attempt to spread hatred against Islam.
Arnoud is currently the President of the European Dawah Foundation، and Ambassador of Celebrity Relations for the Canadian Dawah Association in Europe. He is a Member of the Board and Official Representative for the PvdE in the City Council of The Hague
