A delegation of senior members from Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) has visited the island of Fuvahmulah today.
The delegation which landed in Fuvahmulah today consists of MDP’s Vice President Mohamed Shifaz، Vice Chairperson Ali Niyaz، Head of MDP’s Foreign Relations and north-Henveiru MP Abdulla Shahid and former People’s Majlis member Ahmed Abdulla.
While speaking with Vaguthu، Mr. Shifaz stated the prime motive of the visit to Fuvahmulah is part of their ongoing work promote MDP as well as to discuss and share information about the continued tasks to free the party’s leader former President Mohamed Nasheed.
The senior members’ delegation received a warm welcome from several of MDP supporters upon their arrival to Fuvahmulah – the supporters included council members from the party as well as general members of the party.
MDP is expected to hold a rally tonight at 21:00hrs at the party’s main site at Fuvahmulah.
