Chancellor of Maldives Islamic University Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed paid a courtesy call on Honorable Minister of Education of Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Pehin Dato Suyoi Haji Osman, this morning, at Ministry of Education (Brunei, Darussalam).
During this call, the Chancellor noted the support provided by the Government of Brunei specially the King of Brunei Darussalam His Royal Highness Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah for the Educational Sector and Maldives and thanked His Excellency Minister of Education for their generous support.
Chancellor expressed his thanks and appreciation for the scholarships provided to the Maldives, and kindly requested to His Excellency to increase the number of scholarships and to give special seats to Islamic University of Maldives - IUM top achievers. The Chancellor also offered a special invitation to the Honorable Minister to pay a visit to the Maldives.
The Honorable Minister was delighted to meet with chancellor and expressed his affection towards Maldives and stated that he will provide assistance to Maldives to a feasible extent. Honorable Minister was accompanied in the Meeting by the rector of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, His Excellency Dr. Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal.
