Bank of Maldives has opened two of its branches in Hoarafushi and Ihavandhoo – islands located in the northern-most atoll – H. A. Atoll.
The investment is part of BML’s “Aharenge Bank” campaign through which the bank has pledged to introduce a service which will benefit the community each day – throughout the month of February.
BML has pledged to double its overall investment in local communities to MVR 300 million and create 150 new jobs in the process.
The two new branches were opened in Hoarafushi and Ihavandhoo in separate ceremonies this Thursday.
The bank reports both the branches are equipped with 24/7 ATMs through which its customers can make deposits and withdrawals. And the staff of the bank will be available during banking hours to assist with account opening, loans and card services.
“We are delighted to be able to support the people, businesses and economies of Hoarafushi and Ihavandhoo with these fine new branches,” commented the CEO and Managing Director of BML, Andrew Healy regarding the opening of the new branches.
