President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with Maldivian students residing in the Liverpool, United Kingdom, on Wednesday, as part of the President’s ongoing visit to the city to launch a tourism promotion campaign in collaboration with Liverpool Football Club.
During the lunch meeting, the President inquired about their well-being, overall academic experiences, needs and concerns. He reassured the students of the administration’s commitment to addressing issues faced by those pursuing education.
The President expressed his delight in meeting Maldivian students and took pride in their aspirations and achievements. He also underscored the government's initiatives to address challenges in the education sector and emphasised the value his administration places on its improvement.
The President prioritises meeting with local students and Maldivians residing in countries which he visits. He engages with the resident Maldivian communities to gain insights into how the administration can alleviate their everyday challenges.
