The nationwide electoral process, held Saturday, encompassed three distinct ballots: the election of local council members, the selection of representatives for Women’s Development Committees, and a public referendum gauging citizen opinion on a newly passed constitutional amendment.
Reflecting on the preliminary results of the extensive polling, President Muizzu stated that he respectfully accepts the results of Saturday’s contests and extends his formal congratulations to all parties who achieved success.
