President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has purchased a souvenir ticket for the international friendly match between the Maldives and Palestine under-17 national football teams.
The souvenir ticket was formally presented to the President by Ahmed Thoriq, President of the Football Association of Maldives (FAM), during a ceremony held this morning at the President’s Office.
The President is scheduled to attend this evening’s friendly fixture, with a second encounter between the two sides to be held on Saturday night.
According to FAM, limited edition souvenir tickets are being sold, with all proceeds going directly to the Palestinian Football Association to support efforts to rebuild and develop football in the war-torn nation. The tickets are available in platinum and gold categories, with the President having purchased a platinum ticket.
