Police must maintain integrity at all times; President of Police Integrity Commission urges

President of Police Integrity Commission Fathimath Shareeraa Ali states that Police Officers should maintain their integrity and discipline not only in the presence of public and others، but also at all times.
She made the statement during the inauguration ceremony 26th Investigation Course and 16th Station Management Course، held at Iskandharu Building today morning.

“Police Officers should not maintain honesty and integrity only at the presence of public or others، but in the absence as well، even if their work is held discreet and will not be exposed، they must maintain honesty in it، that is the true meaning of integrity” she said.
In her speech، Shareeraa said that investigations officers are the face of Police and investigative officers have a lot of responsibility in maintaining the proper image of Police، comparatively more than other members.

In addition to this، she also emphasized that investigative officers must be honest، loyal and unbiased in their research and analysis، and to deliver investigative reports on complaints raised by public in its true and uncorrupted form.
The courses will span up to 5 months، while 44 officers had participated in Investigation Course while 30 officers had registered on to Station Management Course.
In today’s ceremony، Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohamed Sodiq along with other senior members participated.
