Defense Minister Adam Shareef Umar has stated that the defense sector of the country is clean and will not be entrapped or embroiled in the various cases being conducted by ACC.
Speaking in the leadership assessment program for ACC employees this evening in Girifushi, Minister Adam Shareef said he had always followed the ACC and Government procedures in conducting their affairs.
He said the officers had always carried out their mandate within the legal means, adding that this gladdened him. Minister said the Chief of Defense Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam was an exemplary figure in such issues.
“Conducting the ministry within the rules of integrity is hard in some cases, but the principles are the best,”
The Minister said none of the officers had the idea to use their resources to gain power illegally. Should any officer entertain such an idea, the Minister said they should resign from the armed forces first.
“The armed forces should be as one, following one path, demonstrating a clear example. We will not allow the misuse of the armed forces,” he said.
Adam Shareef said ACC is an institution working towards the betterment of the public and commended their work.
