BML TEAMS UP WITH TfG TO SUPPORT CHILDREN’S RUN

As part of its commitment to the local community, Bank of Maldives has today signed an exclusive three-year partnership agreement with the Total Fitness Group (TfG) to hold “BML Wow Kidz Run”.
The run is an annual event held by TfG, the operator of one of the country’s leading gyms. It is held to advocate a healthy lifestyle for young children and to commemorate International Children’s Day.
This year, the run will take place at 6.20am on Friday the 13th of May. During the event, 600 children in three age categories will run alongside a parent or guardian.
All three age categories will begin the run at the same time, however from different starting points.
The starting points are set out below:
 Ages 3 to 5 years will begin from BML Majeedhee Magu Branch
 Ages 5 to 7 years will begin from BML Head Office
 Ages 7 to 9 years will begin from BML Bazaar Branch
All participants will finish the run at Rasfannu Beach, where each child will receive a medal of achievement and take part in a number of activities to celebrate the event. Registrations for the run are now open at TfG and the application deadline is the 2nd of May.
BML’s Retail Banking Director Mohamed Shareef signed on behalf of the Bank and said “As the largest bank in the country, we are committed to supporting the local community. BML is proud to partner with an organisation like TfG and help it in its efforts to advocate on behalf of such an important cause. We believe BML Wow Kidz Run will be a great event as it gives out a vital message while allowing all participants to have fun. We encourage any interested parents to find out more about this event from TfG and to get involved.”
Speaking at the signing ceremony TfG CEO Hussain Zinan said “TfG is the first of its kind Wellness Centre in the Maldives and thus we seek to ensure everyone leads a healthy lifestyle. BML Wow Kidz Run is a very special event for us as it gives kids the opportunity to walk, run, smile, laugh and have fun while they and their parents receive valuable information about healthy living. We are excited to be working with BML and hope to make this run the biggest of its kind in the country.”
