An ambulance carrying four people injured in a motorcycle crash in Addu City has gotten involved in an accident.
The ambulance had been carrying four people injured in a collision between two motorcycles at the junction of Daisy Magu and Elhe Didi Magu in the Hithadhoo district of Addu.
The accident was reported to the police at around 09:40 pm Sunday.
According to the police, the people driving both vehicles did not have the license to operate a vehicle of that category.
The second accident took place on the main road of Hithadhoo at around 09:59 pm, when the ambulance carrying the victims of the first accident collided with a car.
While the accident did not result in any injures, the car involved in the crash was towed by the police.
The four injured in the initial accident are being treated at the hospital.
However, the extent of their injuries is unclear.
Both accidents are under investigation by the police.
