The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced it will take action against social housing units in Hulhumale’ that have been illegally rented to foreigners.
HDC said some housing unit recipients are violating the terms of their social housing agreements by renting out their flats to foreigners. Those who have done so have been instructed to ensure that the occupants vacate the premises by 3 January. Any units found to be rented to foreigners after 3 January will have their agreements cancelled, HDC warned.
HDC reminded recipients to comply with the terms of their housing agreements.
