Hungarian Foreign Minister concludes official visit to the Maldives

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó has concluded his official visit to the Maldives. He was seen off at the Velana International Airport (VIA) by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid.
During the visit, Minister Szijjártó made a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and held bilateral meetings with the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan, and Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail. Minister Shahid and Minister Szijjártó also held official talks and three agreements were signed to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Maldives and Hungary.
It is the first Official visit from a Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary to the Maldives and marks an important milestone in the 47-year-long bilateral relationship between the two countries.
