Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has completed his three-day official visit to Berlin, Germany, and returned to Maldives on Friday.
During this visit, Minister Shahid met with his counterpart, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, Heiko Maas and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between Germany and Maldives.
Minister Shahid also participated in the fifth Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue and was a panelist at the discussion held on “Geopolitics in the age of Renewable Energy.”
During the visit, Minister Shahid held sideline meetings with the Foreign Minister of Oman, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdulla, Mary Robinson, Chair of the Elders and Former President of Ireland, Rita Schwarzelühr-Sutter, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of Germany and Tobias Pluger, Chair of the South Asian Parliamentary Group of the Bundestag.
