Sheikh Mohamed Didi has been re-appointed as state minister for the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
Mohamed Didi had previously held this post within the current government. However, when his then party, the religiously conservative Adhaalath Party separated from the ruling coalition, he resigned from his post.
Prior to being reappointed to the post, Mohamed Didi had already signed as a member of the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) in May.
Two state ministers currently serve at the Islamic Ministry in addition to newly appointed Didi.
