Ahmed Tasmin Ali, Leader of the Divehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) has today visited Lh. Naifaru, in order to boast ongoing party activities in the island. Ali Salih, Media Coordinator of DRP said today that the main purpose of Tasmin’s visit was to meet members of the Party in Naifaru and the neighboring Hinnavaru, and to breathe new life to party activities in these islands, both belonging to Lh. Atoll, one of the Lower Northern atolls of the country. Salih also said that Tasmin would officially launch DRP Activity Centres in both islands. “This is one of a series of major gatherings of DRP. The main purpose of the visit is to meet members of DRP in those islands”, said Salih. Tasmin would visit Hinnavaru this evening, and while in the island, would open Hinnavaru DRP Activity Centre, according to Salih. He would then go to Naifaru. A large gathering of DRP would be held tonight at Naifaru. Tasmin was accompanied by some of the Deputy Leaders of DRP, and also by some Parliamentarians belonging to the Party. He is set to return to Malé tomorrow.
