Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has said that all local doctors have the equal opportunity to work at their hospital. The hospital made the statement in a press release following the rumors about local doctors not having the chance to work at the newly opened Cardiology department at the hospital. The press release from the hospital said that their hiring procedure is according to the regulations established by the Civil Service Commission. And said that the positions included in the regulation are determined based on the certifications and experience accepted by the Maldives Medical Council. IGMH said that the hospital would arrange a position for every doctor within the Civil Service Regulations based on the experience and certification reviewed by the Medical Council.
