BML seeks land in Malé to expand investments

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced that they are seeking to purchase a land in Malé City to expand their investments. The Media Official of BML told Sun Media that the bank intends to conduct a number of projects in the Malé area. “We have planned a lot of things in the Malé City area. And so aside from Malé, the bank has decided to make big investments in Hulhumalé as well.” The Media Official said. The Call for Expression of Interest (EOI) announced by the bank says that they are “seeking to purchase a land area of between 8,000 to 12,000 square feet in Malé.” And that the “EOI should be submitted via a letter to Bank of Maldives, Head Office Building, 5th Floor before 10:00 am on 14th January 2016.” The interested parties are to send an accurate drawing of the land (to scale) along with their EOI. The BML Media Official said that the bank is interested in investing in Hulhumalé due to it’s fast and progressive socio-economic development. The bank has previously said that major changes have been brought to their branch and ATM center in Hulhumalé and broaden the services. And more ATM centers would be established within the year at Hulhumalé along with a business center.
