SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC) has revealed the corporation has issued loans to 8 media outlets which had requested for loan assistance.
In a meeting held between SDFC and Maldives Media Council (MMC), SDFC shared information of loans it offers to media. MMC said the meeting was held to facilitate loans to local media agencies.
Speaking at the meeting, Managing Director of SDFC Ahmed Zeenad said the corporation has issued loans to all 8 media outlets which had requested for loans. Zeenad said all relevant documents, information and application forms will be available on its website, for media outlets that wish to request for SDFC financing facilities.
Following the meeting, MMC called on all media to request loan facilities of SDFC should they require a financing option during the COVID-19 pandemic.
