The Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the expansion of its ATM network to cover all inhabited islands in Laamu Atoll this week, as part of its nationwide financial inclusion initiative.
The announcement was made during a ceremony to lay the foundation stone for a new ATM branch in Hithadhoo, Laamu Atoll. The event was attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, cabinet ministers, BML Chairman Ahmed Ali Habeeb, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, and other senior officials.
Under the 'BML ATMs for the Whole Country’ project, new ATMs will be installed in Kunahandhoo, Dhanbidhoo, Maabaidhoo, Mundoo, Isdhoo, and Kalaidhoo, bringing the total number of ATMs installed this year to 103.
