Mr. Bryce David Hutchesson, the Australian High Commissioner to the Republic of Maldives paid a courtesy call on Ms. Dunya Maumoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday morning the Minister welcomed and congratulated the High Commissioner on his appointment and expressed appreciation for the support extended by Australia on a number of issues, particularly on human resource development of the Maldives.
Minister Dunya also noted the close bilateral relations between the Maldives and Australia and discussed ways of further strengthening the existing ties between the two countries.
Foreign Minister Dunya was accompanied by Ms. Khadeeja Najeeha, Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ms. Shiuneen Rasheed, Assistant Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
