Spokesperson of JP, Ali Solih have said that, the “free Qasim” poster hanged at Villa Building is also going to be “jailed”.
He said that someone claiming to be from Housing Ministry, called and asked to remove the poster. Ali Solih said that the poster is not an advertisement and that it is a picture of Qasim Ibrahim, one of the most beloved person in the Maldives. He said that the poster requests to free Qasim.
“That poster is not an advertisement that fits into the criteria made by Housing Ministry. Qasim Ibrahim is a well-known product. No advertising is needed to advertise this product. That is a plea made by the people to free Qasim Ibrahim. That is the plea of thousands of Maldivians” said Ali Solih.
Ali Solih said that he does not believe that no one should be concerned about a poster asking to free Qasim.
