Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has arrived in Serbia on an official visit.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Minister Shahid will be in Belgrade from November 4-6 at the invitation of his counterpart Ivica Dačić, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.
During the visit, Minister Shahid is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Minister Dačić and explore avenues to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries. He will also be concluding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Bilateral Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia. The agreement would facilitate periodic consultations between the foreign ministries of the Maldives and Serbia and provide a framework to review and examine aspects of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
