The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Male’ City Group of Hospitals, Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem has said the group’s main goal is to improve quality of care and strengthen patient safety, guided by scientific evidence.
His remarks were made in a video message shared on social media on the occasion of World Health Day.
In his message, Haleem noted the theme of this year’s World Health Day aims to strengthen relationships among all stakeholders in the light of scientific findings and evidence, and to provide quality healthcare. The Male’ City Group of Hospitals is already prioritising these goals, he said. The group’s main objective is to improve the quality of care given to patients and strengthen safety standards in the light of scientific findings, he said.
Haleem further said the group is expanding services for non-communicable diseases, including screening for diabetes and high blood pressure, vaccination programmes, and public health awareness initiatives. There is also a focus on expanding urban primary healthcare services to more areas, aligned with the national vision under President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, he added.
According to Haleem, plans are underway to open additional healthcare centres in new locations. The organisation is also prioritising improved disease diagnosis using modern technology, digital systems in healthcare, and staff training and capacity building.
